Description
If this is your first Velomens trip, I recommend reading this short introduction about how our trips are organised and what everyday life in the group is like.
At the beginning of April, the Costa Blanca region usually offers ideal conditions for cycling.
Daytime temperatures are typically around
+18 to +24 °C, with plenty of sunshine
and a low chance of rain.
In the mountains, temperatures can be a few degrees cooler,
making the riding conditions even more pleasant.
The Denia area is one of the most popular cycling regions in Europe.
The roads are of high quality, traffic is relatively light,
drivers are accustomed to cyclists, and riding here is safe and enjoyable.
The area offers everything from quiet coastal roads and technical mountain switchbacks
to classic Costa Blanca climbs and small scenic inland roads.
Professional cycling teams regularly train in this region as well.
We will stay at the comfortable and cyclist-friendly
Port Denia hotel in Denia.
All participants will stay in twin/double rooms with balconies.
The hotel offers swimming pools, relaxation areas, a restaurant and secure bicycle storage.
The trip price includes generous breakfasts and dinners at the hotel,
allowing us to start each day without rushing and return in the evening
to a good, filling meal.
In the morning – a relaxed breakfast with plenty of choice to provide energy for the whole day.
In the evening – a well-deserved dinner after a great day of cycling.
During the day, we will enjoy one of the Costa Blanca cycling classics –
cycling café stops, where we can enjoy coffee, lunch,
snacks and meet cyclists from all over Europe.
The cycling camp is designed for a group of up to 20 participants.
This allows us to maintain a great atmosphere, flexibility and a more personal approach.
Throughout the entire camp,
Krišjānis Ratiniks (Velomens) will be present –
an experienced cyclist, traveller and cycling tour organiser.
Before the camp, every participant will receive
10+ prepared routes that can be uploaded to
navigation devices or smartphones.
Every day, you will be able to choose the option that suits you best –
from relaxed coastal rides to classic Costa Blanca mountain routes.
