Velomens is more than just a cycling tour company. It is a way of life born from a passion for cycling, travelling and a desire not simply to see the world, but to truly experience it.

Behind Velomens is me – Krišjānis Ratiniks, known to many in Latvia simply as Velomens. I have travelled to 67 countries around the world, exploring many of them from the saddle of a bicycle. I have competed in world-class ultra-distance cycling events, completed rides covering thousands of kilometres and I am also a Guinness World Record holder.

SIA Velomens has been operating since 2019. Over the years, Velomens has grown into an experienced organiser of active travel adventures.

Every year we organise more than 12 cycling trips. But cycling is not where it ends – our programme also includes hiking and cross-country skiing adventures.

Over the years, Velomens has taken travellers to more than 30 countries around the world, with more than 300 cyclists already joining our adventures.

Velomens trips are not standard tour packages where only the destination changes. I design the routes myself, searching for beautiful small roads, spectacular landscapes and places truly worth reaching by bicycle or on foot. The principle is simple – I create trips that I would genuinely want to join myself.

Velomens is about more than organised trips. I am the creator and organiser of Velorealitāte – an ultra-distance cycling adventure where participants have to find their own route between checkpoints and all the way to the finish.

I also organise Ultra Gravel races and other cycling events where the experience, endurance and personal challenge matter just as much as the final result.

My own experience has also been built on two wheels. One of my most significant challenges was the Transcontinental Race – more than 4,000 kilometres across Europe, where I finished in 10th place.

Adventures like these have given me experience that simply cannot be gained by drawing routes on a map.

Today, Velomens combines the travel-organising experience we have built since 2019 with my personal experience across 67 countries, ultra-distance cycling, racing and countless kilometres in the saddle.
